Facebook is popular amongst some students. Others have stopped using it for a variety of reasons. So .....the Facebook debate.
PROPOSAL: There are too many reasons why using Facebook can be a bad thing. The potential harms outweigh the good reasons for using it. RESULT: THIS HOUSE BELIEVES THAT THE GOOD REASONS FOR USING FACEBOOK OUTWEIGH THE BAD REASONS (THIS WAS A VERY CLOSE RESULT. LAURA AND KIANA'S TEAM WON BY ONLY TWO VOTES!)
The final two persuasive speeches from Kiana (pro-Facebook) and Ryan (against) were very strong and clearly influenced the vote.
Unsatisfied with the answers given by both teams, Ethan Matai kept re-phrasing his question over and over again until he got an appropriate answer to his excellent question. Well done Ethan for being assertive!
